We just got back from California and I'm already having withdrawals of delicious Disneyland and beach treats. So, just in case you need quick remedy to gain a few pounds and be absolutely find with it, I have the perfect solution that goes a little something like this...
First, start off your trip to California by confusing your taste buds and expand your palette. A little Persian Cuisine was just the trick! These middle eastern restaurants were just crawling all over downtown San Diego, and boy was it delish! That pile of rice alone was enough to feed the family.Next, walk down to the Harbor and have some Fish & Chips fresh from the Ocean itself. I promise, you will never want any other Fish & Chips in your life! I mean, look at those deep fried golden things, they're even still shaped as fish!Save your pennies, because in Disneyland you have GOT to go the Blue Bayou restaurant at Pirates of the Caribbean. It will be your most expensive meal, but it will also be (by far) the most delicious meal you will ever eat at a theme park. This restaurant alone is reason enough to gain 5 pounds on vacation.
And in case we didn't get enough deep fried food, we had to try the deep fried sandwich at Disneyland that bares the name "Monte Cristo". We had heard rumors of this sandwich for weeks and couldn't wait to try it for our selves. This golden manwich easily feed two and was quite tasty (but also quite greasy). And finally, to tip the scales a little farther, we managed to try almost every Disneyland goodie we could find. Including x-large pickles (my all time fav!), pineapple whip (Mmm), cotton candy, churros, lollipops, fudge, chocolates, Goofy sour balls, chocolate dipped bananas, frozen lemonade, etc. etc. etc.The food was so tasty, but the company and fun times were even better. We had such a great time in San Diego and Disneyland and I'm really quite sad our vacation over.
Mark wanted so bad to dominate the ocean. Sadly, I fear the ocean dominated us instead. Stupid sun wouldn't come out to play either!
Someday I will make it to the Kentucky Derby and I will be wearing a hat like this....only bigger. Mark continues to dream about that Ferrari, while I dream about that darling blue Bel-air.Hangin' out on the Jetti. Mark could have spent all night out there watching the waves crash up on the rocks. The beautiful Pier. Ohh California, you will be missed. But don't worry, I'm sure will be making a trip again very very soon to eat some more delicious Fish & Chips!
